I grew up in Southern Indiana with little to no knowledge of theatre. From a shoulder injury during high school football freshman year, I auditioned for a musical and immediately fell in love with the process. By midway through sophomore year, I quit sports altogether for theatre. My life changed entirely when I discovered the art form. It was truly an escape for me and when I would watch a performance, I always left with something to talk about, good...or bad.
I graduated from the University of Southern Indiana under the instruction of Eric Altheide and Elliot Wasserman in December of 2019. I've stayed busy in the program taking 19-21 credit hours nearly every semester. I'm eager to continue my growth beyond college as well and continue to be hungry and competitive at everything I do.
I served 7 years ending with the rank of Sergeant in the Indiana Army National Guard. I'm shocked as to how similar military training and theatre training concepts are. From their structure to even how their processes work, the similarities are abundant. My time in the guard has pushed me further in self-discipline as well as being a true leader.
If you've made it to the bottom congrats! Let's grab a coffee or some tea!
